Everyone loves a DIY project or idea. Here's a quick and easy tip on how to give your wilting roses a second life. We all feel bad about having to throw them away so why not get the most out of your beautiful flowers.

Simply twist the head of your rose off the stem by holding the head of the rose firmly in one hand and the stem in the other. Gently twist. The rose head should come right off. Shake off the pollen grains into the garbage. Separate and fluff your petals. Now you're ready to enjoy!

CREATE YOUR OWN SPA EXPERIENCE

Relax your body and mind. Soaking in a warm tub filled with rose petals can be very calming. Turn the lights down low, light some candles, put on some relaxation music, infuse your water with your favorite essence or moisturizing milk bath, close your eyes and put your head back.

DESIGN A BEAUTIFUL TABLESCAPE

Another super easy idea is to use clear glass vases filled with water, rose petals, and floating candles. Dress up your dinner table or side table by placing a grouping of vases in the center of the table or placing a few in a row for a longer table. Mix and match the sizes and texture of the vases.

You can also place pillar candles in vases with rose petals at the base. Using colored pillar candles is a great way to infuse a pop of color into your table design.

Pillar Candles and Rose Petals

If you want to make it sexy by using lots of candles try mixing and matching votive candles, pillars or tapers in different sizes. Fill the space in between with rose petals scattered directly on the table.

These are perfect for yourself or easy DIY gifts. Small cotton pouches filled with dried rose petals are an lovely way to scent drawers and closets. Dry your rose petals so there's no moisture on the petals. Place in a bowl and add in a few drops of rose oil or your favorite scent. You can also use your favorite perfume. Fill your cotton pouch with scented petals, close tightly and enjoy!
